Originally from Burren in County Down, Ireland and now living in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, Tony O'Hare has been training and competing Labradors for over 10 years. He has achieved great success throughout his gundog career so far and is extremely proud to have represented Ireland at International level several times.

His dedication and hard work paid off when he made his first Labrador, Burren Injector (Bomber) up to Field Trial Champion within 2 years, followed by his bitch, Tyrrellison Star Dreamer (Maisy) at just 22 months old. He describes these as his proudest moments in his career so far.

Tony had a great 2017/18 season, starting early on by winning the Forth & Clyde Novice Stake held at the Auchnafree Estate in Scotland on Saturday August 26th, with Burrendale Ace (Murphy). Bred by Tony, this was also Murphy's first ever trial at just 24 months old, making the win ever sweeter. They were also awarded 'Guns Choice.'

Tony was also in the awards and chosen as 'guns choice' at several trials with FTW Lettergreen Rover (Pele), before going on to win the Arfon Gundog Club's Open Stake with OFTW Burrendale Ace.

In 2017 and 2018, Tony has been Team Captain of the Irish Gundog Team at The Kennel Club Interational Working Test, held at Chatsworth Estate in Derbyshire. On both occasions he has led the team to victory, beating the opposition significantly each year.

We are looking forward to watching the Burrendale dogs in action again in the 2018/19 season.
